CNR: Case Number Record structure
The CNR is a 16 character unique identifier issued to every case in the eCourts system. Structure: 2 letters (state code) + 2 letters (district or court establishment code) + 6 digits (sequential number within the establishment) + 4 digits (year of institution) + 2 alphanumeric check characters.
